Tenants set up autopay from their dashboard using a debit/credit card or a US bank account (ACH). Payments are processed through a PCI-compliant checkout, and both sides see the transaction history against the lease.

What does Landlord HQ cost?

Your first 5 units are free. After that it's $2 per unit per month on the Growth plan. Self-hosted licensing is quoted per portfolio. Payment processing fees are passed through at cost.

Can I self-host it on my own server?

Yes. Landlord HQ is a frontend plus a Node.js/Express and PostgreSQL API you can run on your own infrastructure at your own domain. We provide deployment guidance on the self-hosted plan.

Do my tenants need to create accounts?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but it takes under two minutes. You invite them by email, they set a password, and they land straight on their lease with the rent-due amount and autopay button.

Is my data secure?

All API access is authenticated with signed tokens, landlords only see their own portfolio, and tenants only see their own lease. Card and bank details never touch our servers — they're handled by the payment processor.

Can I import my existing leases?

Today you add properties and leases from the landlord dashboard in a few clicks each. Bulk CSV import is on the roadmap.

What happens if a payment fails?

The transaction is marked failed in the payment history and both you and the tenant can see it immediately, so you can follow up in the lease chat thread rather than chasing by phone.
